You can easily add videos, images, presentations, PDF’s, documents and SlideShare presentations to your LinkedIn profile page. Illustrate your greatest achievements in the form of stunning images, videos and presentations!
Click ‘Profile’ from the menu at the top and then choose ‘Edit profile.
Under each of the entries in the ‘Summary, Experience and Education’ section is an icon which is a box with a cross. Take a look at the screenshot below if you’re not sure what we’re on about…
If you choose to add a link to your content, type or paste the link into the ‘Add Link’ field.
This might be from YouTube or Vimeo if you’re adding a video.
To upload a file, simply select the file from your desktop. A picture of your content will display with the pre-filled title and description fields.
To edit the title and description, move your cursor over ‘Profile’ at the top of your homepage and select ‘Edit Profile’.
Scroll to the media sample you’d like to edit and click the little pencil icon in the lower-right corner.
Click inside the ‘Title’ and ‘Description’ fields to edit the text and click ‘Save’ once you’re done.
This is a great place to add a description about what you have uploaded whether it be a video, image or PDF.
You can move your media!
If you fancy a change you can also move your different media samples from one section to another.
To do this, click the little pencil icon next to the media and use the drop-down menu to select ‘Move this media to’.
Choose which section of your profile you’d like to move the media to and click ‘Save’ once you’re done.
If you want to rearrange the items within the same section of your profile, click and drag them to whatever spot you want.
How to remove media
If you’d like to remove an image, presentation, document or video from your profile, scroll to the media and click the little pencil icon in the lower-right corner.
