Now, over to Neil, our Managing Director here at Ginger Digital, to talk all things video costs…
Animation Video Costs
Animation videos are priced per minute, and the fee can vary depending on the animation style. At Ginger Digital, we offer three main types of animation:
Each of these comes in three levels to suit your needs:
- Standard
- Classic
- Bespoke (hand-drawn)
The length of your animation will play a key role in determining the price – the longer the video, the more time spent on animation and editing.
Here’s an example of a video we produced for our client, Synergy, who are a car leasing company. They wanted a promotional video to promote their services, which we achieve through this cartoon 2D advanced animation video. Take a look for yourself…
Filmed Video Costs
For presenter-style or talking-head videos, there are a few different options:
- Green screen filming: We shoot in front of a green screen, allowing us to add images, graphics, or additional footage in post-production.
- On-location filming: We capture key aspects of your business in your office or facility
Studio Green Screen Videos
At Ginger Digital, we have a fully equipped green screen studio near our West Berkshire offices. With professional lighting, sound equipment, a 4k camera, and even an autocue to make sure you never forget your lines, we’ve got everything you need for a polished studio shoot.
Pricing typically ranges from £850 to £1,800 for up to three minutes of filmed and edited video. This could be a single three-minute video or three one-minute videos. The final price depends on the level of animation or motion graphics required for the background.
Here’s a green-screen example we filmed for Immpact as an explainer video for their legal technology.
Location Filming
Location filming comes with several variables. To give you an accurate quote, we’ll need to know more about your specific needs, such as where the shoot will take place, how long it will last, and how many crew members are required. As with all video types, the complexity of the final product (like animations or motion graphics) also plays a role in determining the cost.
Here’s an example of filming we did for our client, James Latham, filming at their warehouse to showcase their product range.
Case Study Video Costs
Case study videos are powerful tools to build trust. These involve interviews with clients who explain how your product or service has benefited them. Here’s what you can expect:
- Filmed on location, featuring interviews with up to four people.
- Includes B Roll footage to showcase the product or service in action.
- You’ll receive a finished edit of up to 180 seconds, plus three shorter 30-second clips for social media or campaigns, all in various aspect ratios to suit different platforms.
Pricing for case study videos typically ranges from £4,000 to £6,000, with variables similar to those for location filming.
Here’s an example of one of our own case study videos, when we interviewed James Bryan from Golf Escapes, talking about their experience of our video marketing services.
Company Promotional Video Costs
Used at the top of the sales funnel, company promotional videos are designed to boost brand awareness and educate viewers about your product or service. These videos are visually engaging and packed with planning, from scripting to storyboarding and post-production visual effects.
Typically, these videos are 60 to 120 seconds long, accompanied by three shorter 30-second versions tailored for social media. We also provide image ads optimised for social media to complement your video campaign.
Expect to pay between £6,000 and £9,000 for these videos, with editing, motion graphics, and special effects being big variables.
Here’s an example of a company promotional video we filmed for AkzoNobel, a manufacturing company, to showcase a new training facility.
Conference and Event Video Costs
Event videos capture the energy and key moments from your conference or event. Whether it’s speaker interviews, product showcases, or footage for future promotions, event videos offer a range of content opportunities:
- Speaker interviews to build authority.
- Customer interviews for case studies.
- Product showcases to demonstrate your offerings.
- Event highlights for PR, social media, or future promotions.
Given the diversity of content from events, pricing for event videos usually falls between £5,000 and £10,000, depending on your needs. Here’s our conference showreel to give you a flavour of what valuable content you can obtain from a conference and event video. Take a look below…
